While a new normal emerges, NCHPBA will try to keep you informed with various topics and information you need to continue to operate. We do not plan to duplicate the excellent information that HPBA has on the COVID-19 impact that you can obtain from just going to the hpba.org website. We started providing information on each state but later determined there was so much being provided by each state and from various municipalities within each state, we could not keep up to the everchanging conditions. We started having Coffee Breaks, video conferences on topics to help with networking. We plan to continue these on some basis. We will always notify you of upcoming programs.

We had a virtual Annual Meeting on May 18 with over 25 companies participating. Hope Stevenson then provided information on how to get going again using a sports analogy of car racing. Even if you are not a sports geek, this concept works. Stay tuned as the new normal takes form.

NCHPBA will have an Annual Meeting on May 18, 2020 at 10:15 a.m.  Following the meeting, Hope Stevenson will speak on “What Sports Can Tell Us about our Business”.  Yes, this will be a virtual meeting.  We will use Zoom so you can log in and see one another and hear the reports as well as ask questions.  Sure won’t be like being together in one big room, but we will still be together, sort of.

The onsite meeting of NCHPBA-CATE scheduled for May 17-19, 2020 has been canceled.  We will have a virtual NCHPBA Annual Meeting on May 18 at Noon.  We will provide log in details closer to the event.

CATE Board of Directors is working on virtual education programs.  Details on that is pending but will be posted as soon as they get them.

We were so looking forward to this event but we have to consider the health and safety of all the people involved as our first priority.  This pandemic will pass and we will get back to a new normal.  Hang in there.

The dates are May 17-19, 2020 and we will be back at Glacier Canyon Lodge in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.  We are finalizing the program and should have the information to all of you before the end of the month.  Sunday will be our Funday with golf, escape room and other fun opportunities with the evening being the opening of the exhibits and our industry reception.  Monday and Tuesday will be packed with great education programs, the NCHPBA Annual Meeting and the CATE Head & Tails game and raffle.  Put the dates in your calendar and plan to come.  Again, details are forthcoming.  If you are interested in a sponsorship or providing a speaker, contact the office at 608-516-13615.

Sponsor Opportunities 2019

Brochures have gone out for the 2019 NCHPBA-CATE Annual Meeting and Education Conference with its new format of one day repeated in two different locations.  We already have over 25 people registered.  There is quite a discount in fees for the event if you sign up and pay before April 10.  NCHPBA offers sponsorship opportunities and CATE offers the education program.  You can pay by check or by credit card.  We do not have payment online this year because of the early bird discounts as well as the multiple staff attending discounts so just send in your check or call the office for credit card.  Both associations accept credit cards.

Something different for 2019.  Two different sites, two different dates but the same one-day program, repeated so people that can’t make the one date could make the other.

May 7 we will be in Rothschild, Wisconsin while we will be in Rochester, MN on May 9.  Each day will have two concurrent programs.  One will be hands-on technical and the other will be four different sessions provided by Hope Stevenson of David Pomeroy Signature Training.  More details will be coming later this month.  Keep tuned.
